What’s On My Fall Reading List

What’s On My Fall Reading List

Fall is always my favorite time to read. (Okay, I love reading any time of the year…) Fall just seems to be the time I read the most. When it gets dark early and the kids are already in bed, I love making a pot of coffee and drinking a cup while reading a good book.

My fall reading list

So what’s on my reading list this fall?

Strong and Kind: Raising Kids of Character

I’ve heard great things about this book and I’ve heard Korie Robertson speak a few times. Anyways, I’m really excited to read this one. My kids are growing so fast, and I do want to raise kids of character because it’s so rare these days!!

The Little Book of Common Sense Investing: The Only Way to Guarantee Your Fair Share of Stock Market Returns

Do you understand the stock market? Because I sure don’t. But I would like to learn more about it. This book is said to be a very clear and concise read that is great for the very beginner or the more advanced investor. I’ll let you know if I understand it.

(Excuse me while I kick myself for not majoring in finance, for the 500th time.)

Your Mom Walk with God: Staying Faithful on the Path of Motherhood

My sister gave me this book and I’ve just now started it. Even just a few pages in, I am loving it. Being a stay at home mom is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. (Just keeping it real!) It’s lonely, it’s emotionally draining, it’s exhausting. Sometimes we as mom’s need the reminder that we’re not doing it alone.

Pickwick Papers:

I also have this thing about classic books. I made myself a list of classic books I wanted to read when I was in MIDDLE SCHOOL. Yeah, I guess I’ve always been a little obsessed with lists and reading. Anyways, over the years, I’ve been working through different classic books. I just started the unabridged Pickwick Papers by Charles Dickens. I laughed out loud twice within forty pages. I can’t remember the last book I laughed out loud at. Anyways, point is, go pick out a classic and read it. It’s stretching, it’s funny, and it’s a great way to kick back and relax.

My Fall Reading List

It’s not a looong list. Obviously. But I am trying to be realistic about my reading goals especially with blogging and opening my store. I also try to remind myself I should sleep sometimes. 😉

What does your fall reading list look like? What are some of your favorite types of books to add to it?

  1. Great list Carina. I do need to increase my knowledge of stock investment. I am bit afraid of that. Thanks for sharing your reading list. Your blog is so informative. I am glad I found you.
